Questions like these drives me nuts.
China produces 700 dramas a year, countless of webnovels and manhuas and have countless publications.
Are people just this ignorant? Ok please ignore me. It is Reddit's fault for showing this to me. It knows what will rile me up
@liztai this is so dump, i cannot even come up with something funny to answer
@bookstardust I really thought it was a joke post or at least a very subtle attempt to be sinophobic. He then went on to "sympathise" with another commenter that China only produces bland dramas and they are innovative because of censorship.
@bookstardust I mean *not innovative. I get a lot of this Sinophobic comment in the Reddit sub I mod. Pretty fed up of these people. Nobody is this ignorant, and if he's aware of Korean dramas and manga he would've encountered cdramas already.
@liztai @bookstardust
Netflix serves up cdramas right next to the kdramas, so I don't know WHAT is wrong with that guy.
If he is USian, most of us live under a rock with regard to knowledge of anything other than ourselves. Not an excuse. Just an unfortunate explanation
@JillsJoy I suspect he's just a Reddit troll. This was in an Mandarin learning subreddit; on Reddit it's pretty common for people to go into China-related subs to stir up trouble. Unfortunately, Reddit is very sinophobic ...
he went on to "agree" with another commenter that China doesn't produce any innovative dramas because of censorship. Yup, typical MO.
