I wish there was two different sets of default mime-types in the operating system. One for *viewing* files and one for *editing* files. #Linux
When using a file-manager, sometimes I want to view a file with a simple viewer that starts immediately and don't allow editing. Sometimes I want to load the file into an editor of suitable kind.
In the current paradigm there can only be one default application. But I think another option is needed.
IIRC #DirectoryOpus for #Amiga could do this.
