Uff!

Ich habe #apple #safari gerade die europäische Suchmaschine #quant beigebracht und leicht war das nicht! Also nicht trivial. Ein Einsteiger könnte daran verzweifeln. Das muss einfacher gehen, Apple.

Überhaupt ist die Zahl an Erweiterungen für Safari weiterhin sehr bescheiden. Zwar liefert der Browser eine Menge Tools mit, aber da ginge sicher noch mehr. (1/2)

Was mir grad krass auffällt, wo ich eine Fotoreferenz für eine Zeichnung suche:

Ich verwende ja mittlerweile #Quant oder ansonsten DuckduckGo als Suchmaschine.
Da die aber natürlich nicht so gefüttert und KI geboostet sind (was auch gut so ist) wie Google, find ich manchmal zu einem Suchbegriff echt nix und wechsle grummelnd zu #Google.

Alter, ist deren Bildergebnissliste voll mit bescheuerten #KI Vorschaubildern! Das ist ja nicht zum Aushalten!

Da geh ich lieber selbst n Foto machen...Alter

@Rockndoll@misskey.de Was ich ja oft und gerne vermeide, sind deutsche Foren, ganz gleich, zu welchen Themen. Und ja, nicht selten bekommt man auf allgemeine Anfragen insbesondere von Deutschen gerne die elendsten Kommentare. Oder man wird massiv belehrt. Auch das können Deutsche im Internet ganz besonders gut und sehr gerne ... ;-)

arXiv.orgElectron spin dynamics guide cell motilityDiverse organisms exploit the geomagnetic field (GMF) for migration. Migrating birds employ an intrinsically quantum mechanical mechanism for detecting the geomagnetic field: absorption of a blue photon generates a radical pair whose two electrons precess at different rates in the magnetic field, thereby sensitizing cells to the direction of the GMF. In this work, using an in vitro injury model, we discovered a quantum-based mechanism of cellular migration. Specifically, we show that migrating cells detect the GMF via an optically activated, electron spin-based mechanism. Cell injury provokes acute emission of blue photons, and these photons sensitize muscle progenitor cells to the magnetic field. We show that the magnetosensitivity of muscle progenitor cells is (a) activated by blue light, but not by green or red light, and (b) disrupted by the application of an oscillatory field at the frequency corresponding to the energy of the electron-spin/magnetic field interaction. A comprehensive analysis of protein expression reveals that the ability of blue photons to promote cell motility is mediated by activation of calmodulin calcium sensors. Collectively, these data suggest that cells possess a light-dependent magnetic compass driven by electron spin dynamics.

arXiv.orgDigital Quantum Simulations of the Non-Resonant Open Tavis-Cummings ModelThe open Tavis-Cummings model consists of $N$ quantum emitters interacting with a common cavity mode, accounts for losses and decoherence, and is frequently explored for quantum information processing and designing quantum devices. As $N$ increases, it becomes harder to simulate the open Tavis-Cummings model using traditional methods. To address this problem, we implement two quantum algorithms for simulating the dynamics of this model in the inhomogenous, non-resonant regime, with up to three excitations in the cavity. We show that the implemented algorithms have gate complexities that scale polynomially, as $O(N^2)$ and $O(N^3)$. One of these algorithms is the sampling-based wave matrix Lindbladization algorithm, for which we propose two protocols to implement its system-independent fixed interaction, resolving key open questions of [Patel and Wilde, Open Sys. & Info. Dyn., 30:2350014 (2023)]. Furthermore, we benchmark our results against a classical differential equation solver and demonstrate the ability to simulate classically intractable systems.

arXiv.orgElectron dynamics induced by quantum cat-state lightWe present an effective theory for describing electron dynamics driven by an optical external field in a Schrödinger's cat state. We show that the electron density matrix evolves as an average over trajectories $\{ρ_α\}$ weighted by the Sudarshan--Glauber $P$ distribution $P(α)$ in the weak light--matter coupling regime. Each trajectory obeys an equation of motion, $\mathrm{i} \partial_tρ_α=\mathcal{H}_α ρ_α-ρ_α\mathcal{H}_α$, where an effective Hamiltonian $\mathcal{H}_α$ becomes non-Hermitian due to quantum interference of light. The optical quantum interference is transferred to electrons through the asymmetric action between the ket and bra state vectors in $ρ_α$. This non-Hermitian dynamics differs from the conventional one observed in open quantum systems, described by $\mathrm{i} \partial_tρ=\mathcal{H}ρ-ρ\mathcal{H}^\dagger$, which has complex conjugation in the second term. We confirm that the results of the effective theory agree with those of full electron--photon system simulations for the few-electron Dicke model, demonstrating experimental accessibility to exotic non-Hermitian dynamics.

Quant browser was the worst, it offered no protection at all. DuckDuckGo had strong protection against #tracking, but it had a unique fingerprint. Both are Chrome based, so this isn't really surprising

#FirefoxFocus was like DuckDuckGo, strong protection against tracking, but none against fingerprints. In other words, #fingerprinting isn't limited to the Chrome world, Firefox has no safeguards against it either
