The spinach I planted last fall in the garden is nearing the end of its cycle, so I harvested most. Tomorrow I'll blanch and freeze the harvest. The corn salad was starting to shoot, so I deced to take most home. The rest of both will stay to grow blossoms and hopefully go to seed. Chive was taking over the garden paths, and while I left most for the insects, I took some home, as well.

Only slightly late now:

The last part of my #pepperinacan challenge 2024. The photo was taken back in november, when I harvested the (two) peppers from my pepper in a can.

I was actually surprised, that the plant grew so well in the can and didn’t need anything, apart from water.

The yield, of course, was not comparable, to that of a 10 liter planter, which usually gives me 50-100 chili peppers.

Quite a fun project though.

A Chili pepper plant in a yellow and blue soda can. The plant is about 40 cm tall, has one main shoot, grows straight out of the drinking opening of the can and has purple leaves. On top of the plant, 2 small dark orange chili peppers are growing. Each one about the size of a small hazelnut, but slightly elongated. In the background is some garden grass, an empty growibg patch and a cobble stone path.
