LeonianUniverse😁The biggest thing stopping the <a href="https://caneandable.social/tags/mac" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#mac</a> from being a good source for <a href="https://caneandable.social/tags/gaming" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#gaming</a> is actually the difficulty it takes in developing games that can run on the mac and run well. <a href="https://caneandable.social/tags/Apple" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Apple</a> likes to tote there capabilities,but what they don't say is that <a href="https://caneandable.social/tags/developing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#developing</a> for the mac takes twice as long as to develop the same for windows, not to mention that on an accessibility scale, it is not easy to use <a href="https://caneandable.social/tags/XCode" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#XCode</a> to directly code on the mac, trust me, I've tried and i found it way easier to use <a href="https://caneandable.social/tags/VSCode" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#VSCode</a> to make even basic programs whereas for the mac, using XCode to do the exact same thing is like 10 times slower and harder to do for the same amount of work simply because of navigation alone with <a href="https://caneandable.social/tags/VoiceOver" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#VoiceOver</a>.

Aral BalkanSo it does look like the TypeScript language server has a limit of 4MB source size where it disables type checking (and actually shows an erroneous error stating that exports that exist in the file do not exist) for files that are imported but not open in the current workspace/session.Still not sure if this is documented anywhere or not (haven’t been able to find it, if it is).99.99999% of the time, unless you’re doing niche stuff like I am, you won’t run into this.Workaround: should you have such a large file, e.g., with a large generated object, try and refactor to split it up into multiple files and rejoin it a separate file. Ich nutze da seit längerem schon Visual Studio Code <a href="https://norden.social/tags/vscode" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#vscode</a>. Das hat einen Preview und kann gleich noch <a href="https://norden.social/tags/git" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#git</a>. Ob es für z. B. Mairmaid-Markdown nativ unterstützt oder ich nen Plugin installiert habe, weiß ich gerade nicht auswendig. Für toml kann ich ein Plugin empfehlen. (1/3)

Daigoro Toyama 🌸I spent a few hours dealing with the problem of <a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/VSCode" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#VSCode</a> giving me a "syntax error" message when I manually entered a struct member variable in the Watch window (i.e. "ctx->id"). As it turned out, it was an issue with the <a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/CodeLLDB" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#CodeLLDB</a> extension. I switched to Microsoft's C/C++ extension ("cppdbg") and set "MIMode" to "lldb" so it used lldb instead of gdb. That fixed it. Note: this is on <a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/macOS" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#macOS</a>.

(I'm using Python rather than R in this case, but that's probably irrelevant.)
