Trying to update my Borg Backup 1.24-1 on Debian Bookworm to fix the archive spoofing vulnerability, but I am getting: "borg: error: unrecognized arguments: --check-tam".
Has someone had the same error?

I use #borgbackup scripts with borgbase.com. Tested many times, and I can even mount the remote repositories to pick files from the past.

The #NixOS wiki has a page on #BorgBackup - https://wiki.nixos.org/wiki/Borg_backup, which sounds like a really interesting way to do backups, but because I'm new to it, I haven't set it up yet. I'm used to Déjà Dup https://apps.gnome.org/DejaDup/ , but was never happy with it, so didn't set out up either. I suppose I've let better be the enemy of good.
Maybe this third choice can serve as a tie breaker

ok so I'm trying to get familiar with BorgBackup but the versions available in the Ubuntu 24.04 repos literally don't have a repo-create option, only an rcreate option, which is just weird and doesn't line up with the docs at all. This is freaking me out a bit. Any idea why?
