I have no experience with the language, barely know what it's supposed to look like, so I can't tell 😅

1/ I wonder why I wrote all my papers. Ok, at least they are cited, but then: why is all the content ignored. I developed a lexical analysis of Persian complex predicates in my paper. This can deal with all the cases that are cited in the piece below. There is no problem with the future auxiliary appearing in the middle of a complex predicate. It is the same as with particle verbs in German. They can also be separated.

A long-lasting question has been whether Persian CPs are generated as lexical units or as phrases (Goldberg 1996, 2003; Folli et al. 2005; Müller 2010); in other words, whether they are the outcome of morphological or syntactic rules. If CPs are single lexical units, the internal structure of CPs should be inaccessible to syntactic rules (Steele 1989; Bresnan & Mchombo 1995; Booij 2007: 67), meaning that other elements should not separate the parts of a compound. This assumption, however, is in apparent contradiction with Persian CPs which can be easily separated by words belonging to various parts of speech (Megerdoomian 2012), such as the adverb in example (1), as well as adjectives, noun phrases, and prepositional phrases. Some scholars have argued, therefore, that CPs are in fact phrases (Karimi-Doostan 1997; Megerdoomian 2002, 2012). Karimi-Doostan (2011) claims that the morphosyntactic properties of the NVE are mainly responsible for CP separability and argues that only NVEs that are predicative nouns (e.g., komak‘help’ vs. non-predicative nouns like guš‘ ear’) can be separated from the verb. However, this argument fails according to Fleischhauer & Neisani (2020) who claim that separation is related to compositionality. They, however, limit their arguments to adjectives, suggesting that Persian CPs that are compositional (termed “light verb constructions ”) can be internally modified by adjectives.

The track "Voices from Bethlehem" by Little Drummer Boy was released at #Christmas 2018, but for me it is still one of the most touching #songs I know. It makes one thing tangible: no matter what #nationality, #origin, #language or #religion - we can all communicate if we want to. And we all have more in common than divides us. For me, that's the most beautiful message that we should remember, and not just at #Christmas, right? Especially in these times!

Ok, I have a request that I am hoping Mastodon can deliver.

I am looking for some reading material on Autism and supporting autistic kids *in Persian*. I have a friend who may be going down the diagnosis path with their kid, and so far they have been using Google translate, but it's really bad for Persian translation. If anyone can point me in the direction of any documents, books, advice etc that is in Persian that I can show to her, that would be amazing.

(also worth noting, my own kid is on the autism spectrum, and we can see from her diagnosis and talking to the person who dx'd kiddo both me and my dad are too - but we are new to this and I want to find already translated text by a human because we have found google translate to be really unreliable and sometimes says the opposite of what we are trying to say. we both speak a little french, but not enough for a proper translation.)
