I updated my Melody Maker script for Bitwig. New features include Motif Development, Random Velocity, Timbre, Pressure, and Release Velocity for expressive modulations. Rhythmic Emphasis helps place important notes in key positions. The loop range, start, and end point of the clip now adjust based on the selected bar size, and there’s a new button to generate an alternate version of the current sequence.

Hmm, I just noticed that my pitch and modwheel in #Bitwig doesn't work when I use a plugin that automatically generates midi notes for me (Rhythmizer, Arcolyte etc). Do you happen to know a workaround? #musicproduction

Just found out that CLAP plugins offer the DAW controls that it can layout for your controller, which of course Bitwig does.
SurgeXT automatically lays out it's 8 macros, scene mixers and filters.

That's seriously cool.

This Bitwig preset EQs your tracks based on an audio source, without needing much tweaking. You can use *pink noise* (or variations of it) as a reference, or even another track. The EQ curve is then applied to your signal to create a more balanced mix.

the former has no linux support, the latter does, but only x86_64, which i cannot emulate on my laptop (yet)

How I made the track 'Receding Airline’.

I wrote a bunch in this about messing with notes not audio, using what Bitwig call “note fx”, and the joy of doing arbitrary stuff to surprise yourself. Not sure how I went on describing this! It got long and I rewrote it many times.

Also, a little on making music using someone’s tech and then they go and Milkshake Duck… *deep sigh*
