@anubis2814 Mills of Americans doing small acts of visible resistance in their communities daily, seems to be one way forward. Even if that resistance is just alerting people to the fact that a protest is coming up or happening elsewhere. Getting people to the polls becomes easier & voting in a congress with actual power is possible if we connect. The constant small protests on Tesla are having an effect but you don’t have to go to one to join.

@GottaLaff Not as a main leader but I can see Biden as part of a coalition of noteworthy people, old & young, calling for U.S. Citizens to rise up. That’d be powerful. Obama said this fight is up to us. There is far less that elected officials can do than most realize in terms of their actual elected rolls but speaking up like Tim Walz is and AOC is but doing it as a ‘named’ coordinated effort would be awesome. Naming & messaging is key.

@grammasaurus The recycled milk jugs gave me an idea. We all have milk jugs, cat litter jugs, detergent jugs etc. cut the meeple pattern below out of the front & side panels. Punch two holes in the hands to thread skewers or toothpicks, glue your sign to them and discretely “plant” an #AfternoonNotesToAmerica meeple in as many public gardens as you can find. @grammasaurus Easy to make. 2 toothpicks some paper mâché or wheat clay (flour, salt, water & a teaspoon of Elmer’s) old powdered eyeshadow, blush, varnish or even just hairspray & a sharpie. If you plan on doing a lot of them get or make a meeple (or a Donkey ) mold or cookie cutter. One suggestion. Put em near benches so it can plausibly be something forgotten & not deliberate litter. Task one, is waking up our neighbors who feel the same revulsion but don’t know what to do. Even the smallest step of resistance now will help, but getting people to take that first step is hard.
Some are scared, some think it only “matters” if they fly to join a big protest & can’t for what ever reason. “Standing up” where they can see us, has such value right now. @BruceMirken

@Em0nM4stodon It can be done but a lot of people underestimate the size of America and the difficulty that presents & with a media that doesn’t cover or barely covers even large protests we need to ramp up locally to get the same kind of effect that our current protests would have in a smaller country. People need to see their neighbors protesting. They need to see signs of protest like the red painted Solidarinoz signs.
