In keeping with his attacks on journalists, Trump is now targeting NPR and PBS, two US stalwarts of domestic public broadcasting that run on listener/viewer donations, private donations, and Congressional funding. Trump is proposing $1 billion in cuts to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which funds both broadcasters.

Hey America! I really like #PBS I've watched, listened to, and read their work since I was a toddler. From Sesame Street to their Science, Arts, and News broadcasting and publishing it's given me an insight into a broader and deeper America than I ever would have seen from the 'Murica we get in commercial media.

It also presented a representation of American people that matches very well with those who I would later go on to meet and make friends with as I went out into the world.
